Become a Local Referee at Mulgoa Valley

Are you passionate about the beautiful game and looking for a way to get closer to the action? Mulgoa Valley Football Club is proud to support the latest initiative from the Nepean Football Association: the Cadet Referee Training program. This is a fantastic opportunity for our younger players, dedicated parents, and local football enthusiasts to develop new skills, build confidence, and give back to the sport we all love here in the valley. Refereeing is about so much more than just blowing a whistle; it is a vital component of the football ecosystem. By stepping into the role of a cadet referee, you gain an unparalleled understanding of the laws of the game, improve your decision-making abilities under pressure, and foster a sense of leadership that translates well beyond the pitch. We often talk about the importance of respect at Mulgoa Valley FC, and there is no better way to learn that respect than by stepping into the shoes of the official. The Nepean Football Association provides comprehensive training to ensure that all cadets feel supported, informed, and ready to officiate matches with fairness and integrity. Whether you are aiming to earn some extra pocket money, build your resume, or simply contribute to the positive atmosphere of our local matches, this program is the perfect starting point. The skills you learn during these sessions—effective communication, conflict resolution, and mental focus—are life skills that will serve you well in school, university, and your future career. We encourage all our members to consider this pathway. Supporting our local referees means supporting the future of football in the Nepean region. It ensures that every weekend, our juniors, seniors, and social teams can take the pitch for a fair, safe, and enjoyable game. If you are interested in joining the ranks of our local officials or have any questions about how the program works, please reach out to our club committee today. Let’s work together to strengthen our club and ensure the game continues to grow throughout the Mulgoa Valley community. Sign up for your cadet training today and make your mark on the game!
