Celebrating Our Incredible Grassroots Football Volunteers

At Mulgoa Valley Football Club, we know that the heart and soul of our club isn't just found on the pitch—it is found in the tireless efforts of our volunteers. Recently, the Nepean Football Association highlighted the vital role of community support by announcing their Volunteers of the Month for June 2023. Seeing such dedication across our local football community serves as a powerful reminder of why we do what we do here at the Black Swans. Whether it is coaching our youngest MiniRoos, managing the canteen at Gow Park, or handling the administrative tasks that keep our club running, our volunteers are the backbone of our success. The NFA recognition program shines a light on individuals who go above and beyond, much like the many unsung heroes we see at our own club every single weekend. From the parents who set up the fields early on a Saturday morning to those who coordinate our team rosters, your energy and generosity make a lasting impact on our players' lives. As we look at the inspiring stories shared by the NFA, we are reminded that grassroots football thrives because of people who give their time freely to ensure our children have a safe, fun, and supportive environment to play the game they love. At Mulgoa Valley FC, we are incredibly proud of our own volunteer network. You are the ones who ensure that every child walks away from a match with a smile, feeling more confident and part of a team. We encourage all our members to keep supporting one another and to continue nominating those who make a difference. If you know someone at our club who consistently goes the extra mile, let us know! Let’s continue to foster that spirit of community, teamwork, and fair play that defines the Black Swans. Thank you to every volunteer who contributes to the Mulgoa Valley family—you are the true champions of our club.
