Mulgoa Valley FC Champions Heart Health
Mulgoa Valley FC supports MAFACARI II, a program enhancing heart health awareness for players aged 35+.
Mulgoa Valley Football Club (MVFC) is proud to support the Nepean Football Association's (NFA) initiative, the Masters Football and Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Study (MAFACARI II). This free online education program aims to enhance cardiac health awareness among amateur football players aged 35 and over. (nepeanfootball.com.au)
As a community-focused club, MVFC recognizes the importance of player well-being both on and off the field. By participating in MAFACARI II, our members can access valuable resources to understand and manage their heart health risks. The program offers flexible, self-paced activities that can be completed at one's convenience, making it accessible for all players.
Engaging in regular physical activity, such as football, is known to promote cardiovascular health. However, it's crucial for players, especially those over 35, to be proactive in monitoring their heart health. MAFACARI II provides essential education to help participants recognize potential risks and take preventive measures.
MVFC encourages all eligible players to enroll in this program to benefit from its comprehensive educational materials. For more information or to register, please contact the Study Coordinator, Philippa Heighes, at Philippa.Heighes@health.nsw.gov.au. (nepeanfootball.com.au)
By prioritizing heart health, MVFC continues to foster a safe and supportive environment for all its members, ensuring that our community remains strong and healthy.
