Penrith Highland Festival 2026 — A Family Day Out at Penrith Showgrounds
The Penrith Highland Festival is back on Saturday 3 October 2026 at Penrith Showgrounds. Pipe bands, jousting, The Wiggles, highland dancers, hot rods and more — an incredible family day out for just $15pp.
The Mulgoa Valley FC community is invited to attend the Penrith Highland Festival, a spectacular family-friendly event coming to Penrith Showgrounds on Saturday, 3 October 2026. With 9 hours of non-stop entertainment, this is one of the biggest community events on the Western Sydney calendar.

This year's festival is packed with attractions for all ages:
- 🎵 16 Pipe Bands — including a Quintet Piping competition and massed bands parade
- 👑 2 members of the Royal Family in attendance

- 🎤 The Wiggles (2 members) performing with their Ceilidh band — Unusual Commoners
- 💪 Kilted Warriors — highland strongman competition
- 💃 Highland Dancers and Scottish Country Dancers

- ⚔️ Sword fighting, jousting, hand-to-hand combat and a full re-enactment village including a Viking ship

- 🐕 Deer hounds, Irish wolf hounds and border collies
- 🐎 1st Light Horse Troop and Pony Rides
- 🚔 Mounted Police and Police dogs
- 🏴 Clan tents
- 🛍️ 50 community stalls — including Legacy, Rotary, RSL Auxiliary and the National Centre for Veteran Healthcare

What to Bring
- ✅ Picnic blankets and chairs — encouraged!
- ❌ No glass to be brought into the event
- ❌ No alcohol to be brought in
Tickets
Tickets are $15 per person (plus 88c booking fee if purchasing online) with children under 5 free. Amazing value for a full 9-hour day of entertainment.
